
Lev Kucher is a Ukrainian cellist who has established himself as a versatile and expressive musician. He received his musical education at the renowned Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover (HMTM Hannover), where he completed his cello studies. Previously, he studied at the prestigious Kyiv Music School for especially gifted children, named after M.V. Lysenko.
Throughout his career, he has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra member in various prestigious concert halls. His playing is distinguished by deep musical understanding, technical mastery, and exceptional emotional expressiveness.
In addition to his solo work, Lev Kucher is a dedicated orchestral musician. He is a co-founder of the Mriya orchestra, which consists of Ukrainian musicians who had to leave their homeland due to the war. With this ensemble, he brings Ukrainian musical culture to international stages and advocates for the preservation and promotion of his country’s classical music tradition.
His repertoire spans works from the Baroque to contemporary music, with a particular interest in the interpretation of Ukrainian composers. Through his concert activities and artistic collaborations, he actively contributes to building a cultural bridge between Ukraine and Germany.
