The exile orchestra officially opened the Fête de la Musique in Berlin alongside the Berlin Senator for Culture and the French Ambassador.
At the conclusion of the Kulturforum Deutschland, the MRIYA project was presented at the historic Aachen Stadtbad by Hamburg’s Senator for Culture, Dr. Carsten Brosda. During the event, captivating Ukrainian music was performed by the ensemble in a trio formation. There is significant interest in the journey and fate of the refugee cultural artists.
The MRIYA platform facilitated the participation of Ukrainian refugee musicians, upon the invitation of the Kurtheater Baden, for the production “Generation ohne Abschied” (“Generation Without Farewell”) in several performances. Learn more about the production here.
Directly at the Brandenburg Gate, the Stifterverband invited the MRIYA Ensemble, this time as a trio, to perform at its annual meeting. As a token of appreciation for their performance and dedication, a donation of €5,000 was presented to the MRIYA project.
At the invitation of the Rotary Club Langenhagen-Wedemark, the MRIYA Quartet performed an entire benefit concert in support of purchasing books for refugee children. The audience experienced Ukrainian music never heard before and marveled at the quartet’s excellence through well-known repertoire.

Memorial to All Victims of National SocialismFor the official commemoration of the end of World War II, the MRIYA platform sent musicians to provide a dignified accompaniment to the memorial. On this occasion, Ukrainian works were performed at the Memorial for the Victims of National Socialism.
